KANNAWIDAN FESTIVAL

In our place Ilocos, We Ilocano have different and very unique products. In every municipalities in our province, they have their very own products and some of them are can be exported in the other places. And this is the reason why tourist attracted in our places not only for the historical places that can be seen in our region. And during January 31 until February 6, Ilocano celebrated the KANNANWIDAN YLOCO FESTIVAL to much more introduced the products that are made by the artistics and creative hands of Ilocanos. And this is the main purpose why they celebrated Kannawidan Yloco Festival.

The Big feast of Heritage City of Vigan

January 25 is the birthday of the mother of democracy the late ex president Corazon Aquino. But on this day is very important to us bigueños because this is the conversion of st. paul the patron saint Vigan City and naturally the fiesta of our Heritage City of Vigan. This day is a very big day in our city, there are many events held on this day.People from all walks of life and in their festive mode.
Before january 25 comes, there are many tourist visits our city and watch the traditional festival in our city that were held every year. Which we called the longganisa festival. And not only the longganisa festival were the tourist are visiting here in our city but the activities that were held before and after this celebration.
In celebrating this big feast, there are a lot of activities and it is always starts in the big parade headed by our city mayor Hon. Eva Marie S. Medina. But this year, this is my 1st time to missed to watch the big parade. Because i am part of the parade. because I and my fellow CAT officers were participated the big parade. Even though I miss watching on it, but I enjoyed joining on the parade. And after that there are lot of activities were happened in our city and that's one reason why tourist came to visit our city during the big feast in Vigan.

I make it!!!

Time indeed is flying so fast. And, I’m finding hard to catch up with it… I was asking myself “did I make the most out of this time? Most especially, that I have only one quarter left to stay in high school”..

Third grading is about to end and periodical test is coming but before that this grading period gives me more knowledge in making a webpage. Because it’s teaches us how to create a links to the webpage that we had already done. And most especially, I find myself easily in making our project because it’s helps me the exercises that we have done in the last grading period. And in this grading period, it gives me a lot of improvements. Because I submitted my project on time and also my draft I posted it on time and not doing it on rush not just like what I am doing in past grading period. And now I think I had improved myself from the first grading period up to now. So thank God I make it!!!

And now we are again to face another chapter in our high school life. Third quarter is almost over, forth quarter is now here. Let us be brave to face in whatever challenges it is. Always ask assistance from God and surely he will make our plans successful. After we finish the forth grading, we will soon goodbye to our teachers, friends, classmates, and to our school. So seize the day. Enjoy your last months in school, Laugh, cry, do everything now!!!

New year, new RIEYANE!!!

Time really moved that fast and now here comes another year again…

And when the year change, this saying “New year, new life” is every Filipino’s keep on telling, but it was just on between the teeth and tongue. They really don’t care what is in it.

But this New Year, this 2011 I want to change everything bad in me that I have or I’ve done in the passed years. So that this new year 2011 it would be new year, new attitude, new life, new RIEYANE!!!

Even though I’ve change, but the good rieyane or what have you known rieyane before is still the good rieyane, a really friend of yours that you can lean on. But that rieyane will soon be improve her bad acts into good acts.

The Essence of Christmas

Christmas is just around the corner, and it is the happiest holiday of the year. We celebrate Christmas here in the Philippines with a bang beginning on the 16th of December till the 1st week of January.
Yes folks, Christmas means to me. It is a time for every family to be with one another, a time to share, give love and peace to each and everyone, a time to be happy and joy because it is the birth and coming of our savior Jesus Christ. Let's give him thanks and praise for he is the one that redeem us.
There's a saying that goes during Christmas time, "It is better to give than to receive". Well, for me this saying is of great importance because it is a Christmas way of life, but now a days that life is so hard and prices are sky high, few, and some are practicing it already. But me as I've said if I have the means I will surely give something to everyone known to me specially the needy.
Christmas is also a month of gift giving and sharing with one another. I am looking forward with the coming of the 9 dawn masses which starts the Christmas season here in the Philippines. People from all walks of life are are going to mass in the early hours of day. It's very enjoyable and interesting even though we are still very sleepy during those hours. On the day of Christmas or have the called Noche Buena and foods abound in each and everyone's table and during Media Noche.
Well, friends the essence of Christmas for me are still so many and I can not enumerate them one on one already because it will take us till Christmas day, so Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to each and everyone!!!

Now in our generation, it seems that our society needs improvement. So, how should our country be a better nation? What does the Filipino people should do to make our country a peaceful, worth living and a progressive country that Filipino people are dreaming to have?

Philippines is a beautiful country to live at, other countries envied us because they say that our country is like a paradise in the pacific. People from all over the world also envied the Filipinos for their friendliness, hospitable and most of all we Filipinos are happy people our smiles are ready to everyone even in times of calamities.

So, in order to protect all these God given gifts to us is, we must have a good relationship and discipline to ourselves and to one another we must protect and clean our environment in order to preserve the beauty of our mother nature. If we can do this our country will become more progressive and a country worth living for.

But nowadays, some Filipinos are not just like I said a while ago because as time passed some Filipinos forget the real attitude of a Filipino should be. We, Filipino people, are the key to a better country, to a progressive country and to country worth living for…
