The Essence of Christmas

Christmas is just around the corner, and it is the happiest holiday of the year. We celebrate Christmas here in the Philippines with a bang beginning on the 16th of December till the 1st week of January.
Yes folks, Christmas means to me. It is a time for every family to be with one another, a time to share, give love and peace to each and everyone, a time to be happy and joy because it is the birth and coming of our savior Jesus Christ. Let's give him thanks and praise for he is the one that redeem us.
There's a saying that goes during Christmas time, "It is better to give than to receive". Well, for me this saying is of great importance because it is a Christmas way of life, but now a days that life is so hard and prices are sky high, few, and some are practicing it already. But me as I've said if I have the means I will surely give something to everyone known to me specially the needy.
Christmas is also a month of gift giving and sharing with one another. I am looking forward with the coming of the 9 dawn masses which starts the Christmas season here in the Philippines. People from all walks of life are are going to mass in the early hours of day. It's very enjoyable and interesting even though we are still very sleepy during those hours. On the day of Christmas or have the called Noche Buena and foods abound in each and everyone's table and during Media Noche.
Well, friends the essence of Christmas for me are still so many and I can not enumerate them one on one already because it will take us till Christmas day, so Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to each and everyone!!!

"Magandang pagsasamahan tungo sa maayos at maunlad na lipunan"

Now in our generation, it seems that our society needs improvement. So, how should our country be a better nation? What does the Filipino people should do to make our country a peaceful, worth living and a progressive country that Filipino people are dreaming to have?

Philippines is a beautiful country to live at, other countries envied us because they say that our country is like a paradise in the pacific. People from all over the world also envied the Filipinos for their friendliness, hospitable and most of all we Filipinos are happy people our smiles are ready to everyone even in times of calamities.

So, in order to protect all these God given gifts to us is, we must have a good relationship and discipline to ourselves and to one another we must protect and clean our environment in order to preserve the beauty of our mother nature. If we can do this our country will become more progressive and a country worth living for.

But nowadays, some Filipinos are not just like I said a while ago because as time passed some Filipinos forget the real attitude of a Filipino should be. We, Filipino people, are the key to a better country, to a progressive country and to country worth living for…

Come let us be ONE!!!

To make our country a peaceful, progressive and worth living country. And to fulfill the long awaited dream of every Filipinos.

Fun, fun, fun!!!

2nd grading period and also our periodical test are done. And that starts our semestral break or what we call sem. Break in short.

On the 1st day of our sem. Break, I together with my sister and other youth relatives went to the polling precinct in our own barangay to cast our votes for the sk elections. Wow, this is my 1st time to vote and was so excited and nervous but it’s just ok. During the sem. Break, I’ve done a lot of things. I do the household chores, but mostly I did is to be the boss in our small business or during this sem. Break all I did is to manage our business. Because my mother has a lot of appointments during that time. And I’m the only one who has a free time. My brother and sister had a class that time so my mother decided that I will be the one who will manage it during the sem. Break.

For the very first time our own beautiful city of Vigan embark on a new festivities called raniag festival. In October 30, I watched the showdown and street dancing for the raniag festival. Then all souls day came, in the morning we went to San Juan because it’s my cousin’s birthday. Then after that we went to San Juan Cemetery to visit the thomb of our relatives there. Then in the afternoon we went to Sta. Catalina Cemetery because it was there our eldest sister, my grandparents and other relatives in mother side were buried there. And there we attended the mass and w stayed a lot of time there.

Then all saints day come, it was our first time to have a class in November 2, in the morning I went to school then in the afternoon we went again at Sta. Catalina Cemetery to visit again my eldest sister, my grandparents and other relatives in mother side.

Time is very very fast now a days. Imagine only last week we had our sem. Break but now we are back in school again, back with our classmates, teachers and school works. But mind you guys, that semestral break gave us a lot of activities and fun for everyone. As the saying goes by “all study and no play makes Juan a dull boy”. So I’m one of that kind, because in behalf of being tired studying and reviewing for the periodical test for 2nd grading I do have a lot of activities and that makes me relax, enjoy and had fun in this semestral break.

"reflection"

Time really moved that fast…

That I haven’t noticed that everything around me had already changed…

Second grading is end but I have learned a lot in this grading period and the knowledge and learnings that I have learned in this grading period will always stay in my mind.

Second grading period, ICTIV is a little bit difficult…

I learned in this grading period are making HTML tags and that makes me second grading a difficult one, but it’s not that difficult it’s just a little bit. Because of doing a lot of exercises that makes me feel dizzy in making it. Despite of my dizziness I became more interested in it because that is about creating a web page. I really wanted to learn about it and I really need to master it. And we still continued to post on our blogs. And just like in first grading, I always posting late due to lot of work. Every time I really need to rushed because it’s late and every time I make my draft it’s on rush and always the result is not that so good and sometimes there are wrong grammar because I made it on rush.

So I have to set a schedule when doing my draft and posting it in my blog, so that I may not be late in posting it and not in rushed in doing my draft so that the result will be better. And I really need to master the HTML tags and learn more about it.

If I can do this things on the coming grading period this gives big help to me.

Breaking Barriers through English

In a domain of communication it is necessary for us to fully understand each other. Speaking to one another is one way. It shows how we express ourselves as an individual. Some were asking why we need to have different languages.

Why does God needs to do that?

I don’t know too. But I know god has certain reasons for doing it...

Why do we have to learn to speak in English since we are Ilocano’s? We all know that in a certain community there is a certain dialect. And he wants us to understand each other although were in different nations and we become one through English language. Still we can achieve peace and come to terms across all borders in speaking English language familiar to everyone. So we should be fluent in it or at least be coherent when we express ourselves in those grammatical errors must not be ignored, because that is learning while practicing it, Because English is international language of mankind. The Philippine is not an exemption to these, because we the best in English speaking nation in Asia if not entire world. So let us raise our flags and be proud to live in a country that God created for us. As such, the Philippines right now is making all possible way to make English language as the primary medium of speech in all the schools and offices in the country but not to discard our national language. As an example this is many in our countrymen are now working entire world as an OFW or skilled workers. They love the Filipinos because they can speak English fluently. In return these workers are giving the Philippines a lot of income through their remittances.

It is just a way of communicating it in our daily routine. That leads to a quit and peaceful life, we may commit errors but when we keep it practicing using the languages, we can avoid errors by knowing the proper usage until we become eloquent in it. The entire nation should cooperate hand in hand in speaking English. We should bear in mind that English language is for the betterment of our world. We become one through the English language.
